Another view of the Newlands repaint scaffold — the Erect It Scaffolding branded board is clearly visible across the upper lift, and the Wellington Harbour is visible in the background below the property. Multi-level platforms gave the painters safe, continuous access to the full face of the house, including the upper weatherboards and eaves that are difficult to reach with ladders alone. The scaffold was designed specifically around what the painting and repair crew needed — clean access to every elevation, solid platforms for prep and painting work, and a setup that let them focus on the quality of their work rather than worrying about access.
