A full membrane roof replacement on Waitohu Road in York Bay, Lower Hutt. Tight driveway access called for careful planning around delivery and set-up, while the exposed, windy location needed a practical edge-protection and working-platform solution. Our crew created stable, compliant access for the roofing team so they could work efficiently across the roofline, with a WorkSafe NZ handover completed before work at height began.
A closer view of the York Bay roof-access solution. The scaffold combined edge protection with purpose-built working platforms, giving the membrane roofing crew safe, clear access at an exposed coastal site. The layout was tailored to the narrow driveway approach and the home's deck area, keeping the project practical for the trades while meeting WorkSafe requirements.
Safe, solid and reliable scaffolding in Newlands, Wellington — a full scaffold setup for exterior weatherboard repairs and a complete house repaint on the elevation facing the motorway. No job is too difficult for our team. With a 'let's get it done' attitude, smart thinking, the right gear, and years of experience, we find a way to get the job done safely and efficiently. The right scaffold setup makes all the difference — especially when it comes to reaching those tricky, hidden corners that can be difficult to access. Another view of the Newlands repaint scaffold — the Erect It Scaffolding branded board is clearly visible across the upper lift, and the Wellington Harbour is visible in the background below the property. Multi-level platforms gave the painters safe, continuous access to the full face of the house, including the upper weatherboards and eaves that are difficult to reach with ladders alone. The scaffold was designed specifically around what the painting and repair crew needed — clean access to every elevation, solid platforms for prep and painting work, and a setup that let them focus on the quality of their work rather than worrying about access. Painters across Wellington trust Erect It to show up on time, set up properly, and get out of the way so they can get on with the job.
This was a roofing access and edge-protection job, not an exterior-painting project. Our team erected full scaffold working platforms and roof-edge protection around a large, architecturally complex Waikanae property in under two days. The setup met the roofing contractor’s requirements, protected the roof perimeter, and gave the crew safe access across the multi-gabled roof. The roofers finished the shingle repair and replacement within two weeks, and we returned to dismantle on schedule. Cliff and Julie described the team as efficient, courteous, accommodating and excellent value, and said the equipment fully met their roofing contractor’s requirements.

Full multi-level perimeter scaffolding across every elevation of this two-storey Wellington property, giving the trades safe, WorkSafe NZ-compliant access for the full exterior restoration. One of the most technically demanding residential scaffolding hire jobs we've completed in Wellington — a steep hillside property in Island Bay where the house sits high above the road on a near-vertical cliff face. Standard scaffolding wasn't going to cut it here. Our team designed and erected a full multi-level scaffolding structure climbing the entire hillside, with three specialist systems integrated into the build: a rubbish chute running the full length of the cliff from the top working platform down to a skip at road level, a dedicated stair access tower so the building trades could safely walk materials and tools up and down the site, and a loading bay at road level for receiving deliveries. The Erect It Scaffolding signage visible in the photo shows the scale of the structure — this is the kind of scaffolding hire Wellington hillside jobs demand, where the terrain is the main challenge and off-the-shelf solutions simply don't work. Every trade on site had safe, compliant access from day one, with a WorkSafe NZ handover certificate issued before anyone set foot on the scaffolding. SiteWise Gold 2026/27 certified. If your Wellington property is on a steep section — Island Bay, Hataitai, Mt Victoria, Brooklyn, or anywhere else in the city — call Dhillon on 027 886 6688 for a free quote on hillside scaffolding hire.
One of the coolest and most unique projects we've been involved in — a custom freestanding scaffolding tower inside the Hutt City Council aquatic centre at Naenae Pool for the installation of new goal systems at significant height above the competition pool. Working inside an operational aquatic facility brought challenges no residential scaffolding job ever does: protecting the pool environment, working around lane infrastructure, distributing load across a sensitive pool deck without point loading, and designing a fully self-supporting tower structure with no external tie points. Our team used extended base jacks with rubber base plates and sole boards, full internal diagonal bracing at every lift, and tool tethering throughout to ensure nothing reached the water. The installation team had a stable, compliant, WorkSafe-certified platform that let them complete the ceiling-level fixings safely and on schedule. Projects like this showcase the full range of what scaffolding can do when it's designed around the environment rather than off the shelf. If your project needs a custom access solution — call Dhillon on 027 886 6688.
Our crew at work — three of our scaffolders positioned at different levels of the custom tower we built inside the Naenae Pool aquatic centre for Hutt City Council. You can see the full height of the structure, the multiple working lifts, and the guard rails on the top working platform. The pool lanes are clearly visible below. This image captures the kind of precision and teamwork required to safely erect a scaffolding tower inside a live aquatic facility — coordinating every lift carefully so that the structure remained stable and nothing was at risk of falling into the pool. The installation team used the top platform to fix the new goal systems to the ceiling structure, completing the project safely and on time. We cover all commercial and industrial scaffolding across Lower Hutt, Wellington, and the Hutt Valley — call 027 886 6688 for a free quote on any unusual or complex access project.

Our crew was out in Martinborough this week providing scaffolding solutions for a new garage build on Weld Street — a clean residential project that got the full Erect It treatment. Layher system scaffolding erected to the correct height, guardrails and mid-rails on every elevation, WorkSafe NZ handover certificate issued before the trades went up. Martinborough is about an hour east of Wellington through the Remutaka, and it's exactly the kind of job we love — a smaller project in a great part of New Zealand, done to the same standard as anything we build in Wellington CBD. No job too big or too small. SiteWise Gold 2026/27 certified. We cover all of Wairarapa including Martinborough, Greytown, Carterton, Featherston, and Masterton — call 027 886 6688 for a free quote on any Wairarapa scaffolding job.
Aerial drone view of a completed scaffolding shrinkwrap temporary roof — the entire building encapsulated in heavy-duty white shrinkwrap, surrounded by native NZ bush. This system creates a fully weatherproofed workspace that lets roofing, recladding, and asbestos removal crews work continuously regardless of Wellington's weather. The scaffolding structure supports the wrap and provides safe multi-level access across the full footprint. You can see the scaffolding perimeter frame around the edges and a crew member in the orange hi-vis — a reminder this is a live, working structure. Shrinkwrap temporary roofs are increasingly specified across Wellington for complex reclads, reroofs, and heritage restorations where weather exposure or hazardous materials require complete site containment. Call 027 886 6688 to discuss a shrinkwrap solution for your project.
One of our most complex scaffolding shrinkwrap projects to date — a fully engineered Rolling Roof system covering an 18m × 18m footprint at 12m high on Nicholson Road in Khandallah. Working with Altrad's engineering team and our own experienced crew, we designed and erected the full system within a week despite tight driveway access, no crane access, and steeply sloping ground. Classic Wellington terrain — and exactly what we do best. This temporary roof system created a fully weatherproofed workspace for a major residential renovation, keeping the project moving through Wellington's unpredictable weather. The same Rolling Roof technology is used for large-scale outdoor events and commercial enclosures. If your Wellington project needs a weatherproof solution at scale, this is it.
New residential build in Trentham, Upper Hutt — full multi-level perimeter scaffolding at cladding stage, giving the cladding crew safe, continuous access across every elevation. Erect It branded boards across the full facade, stair access tower on the side elevation, and the WorkSafe NZ handover certificate issued before any trade went to height. We were on site from framing stage through to cladding, staging our scaffolding lifts to match the build programme so the framers, cladders, and roofers always had what they needed, exactly when they needed it. Trentham is one of Upper Hutt's most active new-build corridors — we're a regular presence on site across the suburb. No travel surcharge to Upper Hutt. Rear and side elevation view of the same Trentham new build at cladding stage — the stair access tower is visible on the left, giving the building trades safe, easy access between levels without ladders. Our truck is on site and the bin hire skip in the foreground gives a sense of the scale of the structure. Full perimeter access, multi-level platforms, and the whole system erected before the cladding crew arrived. Upper Hutt new builds covered with no travel surcharge.
Bird's-eye aerial view of the Trentham new build at framing stage — the full scaffolding perimeter is visible wrapping every side of the structure as the pink timber frame rises. This overhead angle shows how precisely the scaffold is designed around the footprint: every elevation covered, bracing at regular intervals, and the scaffolding staged to match the framing crew's progress. Safety nets are visible inside the structure providing interior fall protection for the framers working at upper floor level. This is new build scaffolding done properly — a structured system that keeps every trade safe, compliant, and productive from the first lift to the last. SiteWise Gold 2026/27 certified. No travel surcharge to Upper Hutt.
Second aerial angle of the Trentham new build at framing stage — you can see the scaffolding crew on the ground at the bottom left, and the entire structural frame laid out within the perimeter scaffold from above. The scaffolding wraps the full footprint from the first lift, providing a safe working boundary from day one of the framing programme. Interior safety nets cover the floor openings where framers work at upper-floor level. Staged scaffolding for new builds is one of our core services across Upper Hutt — we coordinate directly with the builder to make sure the scaffold is always one step ahead of the build. Call Dhillon on 027 886 6688 for a same-day quote.

Full scaffolding shrinkwrap encapsulation completed for a major reclad, reroof, and new window installation in Khandallah, Wellington. The entire building was encapsulated in heavy-duty shrinkwrap, creating a fully weatherproofed working environment that allowed the cladding, roofing, and window trades to work continuously regardless of Wellington's famously unpredictable weather. The scaffolding structure carries the load of the wrap system and provides safe multi-level access across the full footprint of the property. Shrinkwrap is increasingly specified on reclad projects across Wellington — particularly in hillside suburbs like Khandallah, Ngaio, and Karori where weather exposure is significant and project programmes need to be protected. If your project can't afford rain delays, this is the solution.
A tailored edge protection solution for the installation of new underground fuel tanks at Z Station Mana. When it comes to industrial works, safety is non-negotiable — our team made sure the excavation site was fully compliant and secure, providing WorkSafe-standard edge protection around the open pit throughout the fuel tank installation. With heavy machinery operating in the excavation below and active forecourt operations continuing nearby, the scaffolding edge protection system kept the crew safe and the project on schedule. This is the type of specialised industrial scaffolding we deliver across Wellington, Porirua, and the Kapiti Coast — built right, compliant every time.
Our team installing a Dessa temporary roof system in Khandallah on a stunning Wellington day — with the harbour and CBD spread out below. The Dessa system creates a fully enclosed, weatherproof roof structure over the scaffolding, allowing construction and renovation work to continue uninterrupted regardless of Wellington's notoriously unpredictable weather. Unlike standard shrinkwrap, the Dessa system provides a rigid, engineered roof structure that can span larger footprints and carry greater loads — making it ideal for complex reroof, reclad, and construction projects where full overhead protection is required. If your Wellington project can't afford to stop for rain, this is the system that keeps it moving.
A full exterior cladding repair and repaint project on a modern multi-level home in Belmont, Lower Hutt. With difficult roof angles, elevated working areas, and limited access around outdoor living spaces, the scaffolding was designed to provide painters and builders with safe, efficient access to every elevation. Multiple working platforms and secure ladder access allowed contractors to complete cladding repairs, preparation work, and exterior painting safely — with minimal disruption to the homeowner. Belmont hillside properties like this are a regular part of our work in the Hutt Valley, and this job is a great example of what a well-planned scaffolding system can deliver on a complex site.
Sharp, safe, and professionally presented — this exterior painting scaffolding in Plimmerton is a great example of the access solutions we deliver every week across Porirua and the Kapiti Coast. Multi-level working platforms provided continuous safe access across all elevations of this home, giving the painting crew everything they needed to work efficiently without ladders. The site stayed clean, organised, and clearly branded throughout the job. Mount Victoria is one of Wellington's tightest suburbs — narrow streets, steep sections, and heritage villas packed closely together. This exterior painting project required careful planning to erect a full multi-level scaffolding with minimal footprint, giving the painting crew safe continuous access across the full facade without impacting the neighbours or the street. Three of our crew are pictured working in sync to get the system up efficiently. We handle tight-access residential jobs like this all the time across central Wellington suburbs — Thorndon, Newtown, Aro Valley, Kelburn, Te Aro, and Island Bay. If your painter says access is tricky, that's exactly where we shine.

Our crew works closely with framers, cladders, and roofers to keep the job moving. SiteWise Gold 2026/27 certified and fully insured — every time.
Interior commercial scaffolding is one of our specialist services — and this Wellington CBD job is a great example of what we can deliver. Working inside an active building, we designed a bespoke scaffolding system to provide safe access for contractors while maintaining pedestrian clearance. Safety mesh, padded uprights, and branded toe-boards were all part of the package. Whether it's a car park, a warehouse, a school hall, or a public building, our team plans every internal scaffolding around your site constraints and WorkSafe requirements.
This aerial shot shows a full temporary roof scaffolding and shrinkwrap encapsulation we completed in Lower Hutt — one of the more complex projects our team handles. We regularly deliver these systems for schools, commercial buildings, and heritage properties across Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, and the wider Wellington region. If your project can't afford rain delays, this is the solution.
