How much does scaffolding cost in Wellington?
The cost depends on scaffold length and height, the number of working levels, delivery access, terrain, project duration, roof or edge protection and the complexity of the building. We assess the elevations that need access, platform heights, terrain, delivery access, wind exposure, ties and bracing, public-space requirements, the agreed hire period and any weather protection or specialist components. Send your address, photos or plans and a description of the work for a project-specific quote.
How quickly can you erect scaffolding in Wellington?
Installation availability depends on our current schedule, the size and complexity of the scaffold, site access and any permits or design requirements. Tell us your preferred start date and when your trades need access. We will confirm a practical erection date with you rather than promise a fixed turnaround before assessing the job.
Can you scaffold a steep hillside property?
Yes. We plan the scaffold around the site’s slopes, retaining walls, changes in level and usable ground. Base arrangements, working platforms, ties and bracing are assessed for the property and the work being done. Please include photos of the ground and access route as well as the building when requesting a quote.
What safety documentation comes with the scaffold?
Our team erects, inspects and dismantles the scaffold, with a written handover before trades use it. Erect It holds SiteWise Gold 2026/27 Health & Safety Prequalification. We discuss inspection arrangements, access requirements and any changes to the scaffold with you as part of planning the work.
Can you work around my painter or roofer’s schedule?
We coordinate erection and dismantling around your trade programme. Tell us when your painter, roofer or builder needs access and we will confirm the agreed schedule in writing. If the work changes or takes longer than planned, contact us so we can discuss access and timing before making alterations.
Do you work on heritage and character homes?
Yes. We work on Wellington villas and character homes, planning access around older timber buildings, narrow sites, unusual roof pitches and fragile weatherboards. Tell us about sensitive finishes and any conservation requirements early, so these can be considered with your trades when planning the scaffold.
Will I need a Wellington City Council permit?
Requirements depend on the site and where the scaffold will stand. If it extends over a footpath or occupies road reserve, council approval and temporary traffic management may be required. We assess these constraints when quoting and discuss the requirements with you before work starts.
